PKR queries if political questions raised in JPA scholarship exam

PKR Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad has urged the Public Service Department (JPA) to clarify whether political questions were asked in the Public Service Department's (JPA) scholarship selection examination.
In a statement, the Setiawangsa MP said he has received complaints from students claiming they were made to answer a questionnaire during the administration of former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak, in which they had to choose answers from a range of 1 (mostly disagree) to 7 (mostly agree).
Some of the questions are:
- I will support every government’s action…
- I will support whatever is done by the prime minister…
- I believe that I shall not behave as anti-government by supporting the opposition parties…
- The opposition party is a threat to government position…
Nik Nazmi said such questions should immediately cease from being asked again in future questionnaires if indeed the complaints were true.
When contacted by Malaysiakini, JPA’s head of Corporate Communication Unit, Jaafar Jantan, said: “On behalf of JPA, I can’t confirm it yet.
“However, we will check with the Department of Human Capital Development (Pembangunan Modal Insan), whether such questions exist.

“We will check, and if there are, we will hand over this matter to the authorized department,” Jaafar said. -Mkini
