Public holidays on Monday and Tuesday, says Najib

Caretaker prime minister Najib Abdul Razak has proposed that the coming Monday and Tuesday be declared as public holidays.

"This is to reward the hard work of all BN machinery, the opposition, and all Malaysians," he says in his second piece of good news in his final address before polling day.

He adds it is also for Malaysians to make preparations for the coming Ramadhan fasting month.

Najib says for states that are off on Friday and Saturday, the special off days will fall on Sunday and Monday.  -Mkini
