Rosmah: Treat us like normal human beings with dignity

Rosmah Mansor, the wife of former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak, said her family should be treated with dignity in the investigations into the 1MDB matter.
“I can take all that pre-dawn raids. I understand. I believe that a person is innocent until proven guilty.
"Otherwise, we have to be treated like normal human beings. The right to dignity," Rosmah was quoted as saying in an interview with the Malay Mail.
Rosmah was referring to the series of police raids on her home and other properties linked to her husband in relation to 1MDB.
The Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department has over the past week raided several locations, including the Taman Duta residence.
There, police seized boxes of handbags, clothes and gifts.
Police also raided three Najib-linked condominium units in Pavilion Residences, Bukit Bintang, seizing 72 bags of cash, jewellery and other valuables, as well as 284 boxes of designer handbags.
'Moving on'
Rosmah said her family was taking the matter in stride, but hoped that it would end soon.
"We are taking it quite well. I think we're quite relaxed, being a family of politicians. This is just one of those trials and tribulations, the hazards of being in politics.
"I would like this to be over as soon as possible because we want to move on with our lives,” she was quoted as saying.
Once the most powerful man in the country, Najib is now the subject of the 1MDB investigation.
This was after he led the BN to its first electoral defeat since independence in the May 9 polls, ending the coalition's 61 years in power.
Najib had received multi-billion ringgits deposits in his personal bank account, which international investigations claimed originated from 1MDB.
He had denied wrongdoing or taking public funds for personal gain.
Rosmah also indicated in the interview that her family was coping with the realities of being out of power.
“It's another life, but I'm not complaining. I'm not asking for this kind of life, but it's a much more relaxed life when I can do my thing.
