My comments : I used to see Irwan in the late 90s and early 2000s in Putrajaya. I believe he sat on the Khazanah board at one time.
To all our Civil Servants watch and learn carefully - this is what will happen when Civil Servants engage in "close one eye".
One day your 'corrupted guardians' will be gone. You will be left high and dry.
Your 'guardians' will still have their millions and their billions.
You will have nothing.
Worse - your whole reputation (whatever little that you had) will be destroyed.
Or rather, has been destroyed.
It is now a life of shame, disgrace, embarrassment and worse.
If this were Japan, words like seppuku would pop up.
But we are not Japan ok. No need for all that.
Hamid Bador the Special Branch guy left, holding his head high.
Tan Sri Abu Kassim left the MACC's top post, also holding his head high.
Syed Akbar Ali quit the MACC's Advisory Panel in 2014 - when he saw the gomen of Najib Razak was exploiting other people's reputations being used as a shield for their corrupt practises. Still ok.
