Zahid: Muar in danger? Razali can jump into a well if he loses

GE14 | BN deputy chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has rubbished reports that the coalition is in danger of losing Muar.
After leading a crowd of 1,000 BN election machinery into chants of "Hidup Muar" (Long live Muar), Zahid chided that incumbent MP Razali Ibrahim "should jump into a well if he loses".
Malaysiakini previously reported that there are signs of a revolt among Umno supporters in the Muar heartlands.
Zahid, however, said reports "saying this and that" are untrue.
"When I stepped into Muar it is clear that the reports are not true," he said.
In a swipe at Bersatu candidate Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, the Umno de facto deputy president said debating skills do not translate into administrative skills.
Meanwhile, Zahid also took a veiled swipe at Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin, saying the latter would lose in Pagoh.
"Someone wanted to contest here but then went back to his own place. But he will lose there too," he said.
Zahid said he did not want to mention names because their focus was to ensure BN's continuity in Muar.
He then jested that despite not getting allowances, the BN machinery will work extra hard to ensure that BN wins all seats in Muar.
In 2013, Razali won Muar with just 1,646 votes.
BN had also won the Sungai Balang state seat, but was unable to recapture Maharani in 2013. -Mkini
