Zuraida says now free to enter Sarawak as a minister

Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin said unlike the past, she can now travel to Sarawak freely to carry out her ministerial duties.
“I can now go to Sarawak, because I am now a minister. (Although) I have always been active in Sarawak in the past.
“In one or two weeks, I will make a trip, because the people are awaiting my arrival to see what matters need to be settled,” she told the media after visiting a transit home in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur today.
Zuraida had been on the Sarawak travel blacklist as an opposition leader, along with her comrades and other civil society leaders.
On May 24, the Sarawak Immigration confirmed the names of Harapan ministers who had been on the blacklist have been cleared to enter, after they had been sworn into office.
Other banned Harapan leaders who can now visit the state are Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu and Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali.
However, the ban on other individuals for example Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brownremains.
Critics have called Sarawak's travel ban an abuse of power by the state authorities. -Mkini
