Deputy minister's officer accused of taking upskirt video

An officer who accompanied Deputy Home Minister Mohd Azis Jamman to an optometry shop at Solaris Dutamas in Kuala Lumpur is facing police investigation after allegedly recording an upskirt video of a worker there.
According to a police report, the 30-year-old woman said she was conducting an eye check on Azis when a man came near her from behind in a suspicious manner.
"I felt uncomfortable with the man's actions. When I was about to turn to the screen beside me, I notice the man was holding a mobile phone and recording," she said.
The woman said after she checked the shop's CCTV, she found the man had been recording from under her skirt.
The police report did not name the man or his relation to Azis but it did mention the deputy minister's name.
The incident happened at around 11am yesterday and the woman lodged the police report at the Sentul district police headquarters on the same night.
According to the CCTV recording, which was circulated on social media, Azis appeared occupied as the worker attended to him.
The man accompanying, then shifted from his seat to another that was nearer to the worker.
The video then showed the man holding his mobile phone near the woman.
Azis is the MP for Sepanggar. He contested under Parti Warisan Sabah and defeated Umno's Abdul Rahman Dahlan in the May 9 general election.
In a statement later, Azis said he has sacked his officer for taking the upskirt video.
"The action was deplorable and despicable. I have decided to take stern action against the officer who made the recording," he said. -Mkini
