FOR SURE, PAS’ ULTRA-ISLAMIC SHURA COUNCIL – MANY OF WHOM MYSTERIOUSLY OWN SUPER-LUXURY CARS & HOMES – WILL PICK UMNO AS THEIR POLITICAL PARTNER

THE PAS Syura Council and central leadership will decide on what sort of cooperation the party should seek to establish with another political party.
PAS delegates at the party’s annual congress today unanimously passed the resolution to let the party’s highest policymaking bodies decide on the direction the Islamist party should take as a member of the opposition
Although the resolution did not mention which political party PAS was considering as a partner, it may be safely assumed that it is Umno.
“It’s okay for us to get closer to the enemy in order to guide them in the ways of Islam,” said Youth delegate Afnan Hamidi Taib Azamudden during the debate, in Kuala Terengganu today.
He said unlike Western political theory, which was only interested in popularity, political Islam was about guiding others to the faith.
“We can reconcile with Umno if it accepts Islam too,” said Afnan.
Any kind of pact with Umno or other parties would only be acceptable on the condition that they upheld Islamic principles, he said.

Kota Raja delegate Zulkifli Ahmad wants the Syura Council to define PAS’ working relationship with other parties.
“There was confusion in the Sungai Kandis by-election; there was not enough information given to us on what to do,” he said.
The Kota Raja division had earlier complained about instructions being unclear during the Sg Kandis by-election and had even been critical of the orders for PAS member to vote for the Umno candidate.
“We will be faithful to the party’s definition but there must be more clarity,” said the delegate.

Sabah delegate Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden wanted the leaders to remember Sabah when considering political cooperation with other parties.
“In Sabah, Umno and Star have just formed Gagasan Bersatu Sabah and it’s at odds with PAS as these parties are unfriendly to our Islamic struggle.
“Don’t forget the political dynamics in Sabah when you consider political cooperation with others,” he said. –  September 16, 2018.
