IN PD, ANWAR’S NAME RESOUNDS MORE THAN EVER – WHO WOULD WANT ISA, ACCUSED OF STEALING FROM FELDA OR SAIFUL, ACCUSED OF SELLING HIS REAR FOR RM2 MILLION? BITTER KARMA FOR PRO-AZMIN, PRO-BERSATU & UMNO QUARTERS AS THEIR DARK STRATEGY BOOMERANGS BADLY

PORT DICKSON – A preliminary survey conducted by Pakatan Harapan (PH) shows that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is in pole position to win the Port Dickson by-election.
PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil said voters were looking at the fact that the next prime minister would be from Port Dickson.
“The sentiment looks good for PKR president-elect Anwar based on the turnout during the nomination process and a preliminary survey. The survey will be done again and should be able to give a bigger picture in the next few days,” he told reporters at the PKR’s operation centre, here today.
Among the other contenders are former Negri Sembilan mentri besar Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad, who will be contesting as an independent, and Lt Col (Rtd) Mohd Nazari Mokhtar of PAS.
The four other independent candidates are Anwar’s ex-aide Mohd Saful Bukhari Azlan, Stevie Chan Keng Leong, Lau Seck Yan and Kan Chee Yuen.
Fahmi said Pakatan is in the midst of working to get voters out to cast their ballots on polling day.
“About 30% of the voters live outside PD. We hope they will be back on polling day and exercise their right,” he said.
Meanwhile, Fahmi has also given an early warning against disinformation or fake news involving Anwar going viral on social media.
“There have been such incidences in the past. So far these are non-specific to this by-election, but I am just giving a warning,” he added.
Fahmi, who is also Lembah Pantai MP, said Pakatan will also continue to monitor social media platforms to check fake news on Anwar.
Fahmi urged the public to contact them or check PH’s official social media accounts if they receive any suspicious information.
The Port Dickson by-election is being held after its former MP Datuk Danyal Balagopal Abdullah (PKR) resigned to make way for Anwar to return to Parliament.
In the May 9 general election, Danyal won with a 17,710 vote majority against Barisan Nasional’s Datuk V. S. Mogan and PAS’ Mahfuz Roslan. – Sundaily

It’s all about Anwar in Port Dickson

PORT DICKSON: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim may have been out of mainstream politics for some time but the manner he was cheered on by the people showed that he has lost none of his political lustre.
The PKR president-elect and prime minister-in-waiting started his second day of campaigning at the wet market in town where he took time to greet and shake hands with the people.
Dressed in a folded long-sleeved white shirt and black pants, Anwar made heads turn the moment he blended in with shoppers and traders. Many at the Pasar Besar Port Dickson, young and old, were pleasantly surprised with Anwar’s visit to the venue.
Accompanied by his daughter Nurul Ilham, Anwar chatted with the crowd and even obliged when asked to pose for wefies.
From there, his delegation proceeded to the Tokong Dewa Chi San Liang Gongin Bukit Pelandok, which was officially opened by Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd group executive deputy chairman Datuk Lee Tian Hock.
The crowd, upon being told of the arrival of a special guest, quickly took out their mobile phones to take pictures of Anwar, who is hoping to stage a political comeback with a win in this by-election.
He briefly addressed the crowd before going to a mosque in Pasir Panjang to celebrate Maal Hijrah with the residents.
He spent about 30 minutes with the congregation before giving out contributions from the Negri Sembilan Islamic Council to the needy, accompanied by Mentri Besar Aminuddin Harun.
Towards the evening, Anwar attended a meet-the-people session at Kg Seri Parit in Lukut, followed by another event at Taman Bukit Pelandok in Chuah.
His day ended with a ceramah along Jalan Seremban in Sri Tanjung. – THE STAR
