Musa touches down in KK, whisked away in black Alphard

KOTA KINABALU: Tan Sri Musa Aman has returned to Sabah, 112 days after he left the state on May 14.
A large crowd of supporters chanted the former chief minister’s name as they greeted him at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) Terminal 2 Complex before he was whisked away in a Black Toyota Alphard.
He is believed to be bound for the state assembly building to be sworn in as Sungai Sibuga assemblyman.
Musa, who was wearing a white shirt and black suit, was wielding a walking stick when he made his way out of the airport as light strike force policemen kept the crowd at bay.
.He waved at the crowd. Senior Sabah Umno leaders were also on hand to receive him.
If he is not sworn in today (Sept 5), Musa is expected take his oath at 10am tomorrow.
His lawyer Tengku Fuad Tengku Ahmad said that if would have to be Thursday or Friday because the long weekend, with the Agong's birthday and Awal Muharam coming up, meant Monday and Tuesday would be public holidays.
The 67-year-old, Sabah's longest-serving chief minister, claims to be the rightful chief minister.
He insists that he was illegally removed by the Governor, who replaced him with Parti Warisan Sabah president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal on May 12.- Star
