ISMA PRESIDENT AMINUDDIN YAHAYA SHOULD BE SEVERELY PUNISHED FOR INSTILLING FEAR ON MUSLIMS THAT ISLAM HAS BEEN BULLIED

Pos M'sia reveals 'church' stamp issued since 2016, Isma chief deletes FB post

The stamp featuring a church has been issued since 2016, two years before Pakatan Harapan came into power, according to Pos Malaysia in response to Isma president Aminuddin Yahaya's criticism.
“Pos Malaysia issued the 'Places of Worship' second series on May 15. The first series was issued in November 2016,” it said in a brief statement to Malaysiakini this evening.
In a Facebook posting yesterday, the Malay-Muslim NGO leader described the stamp as “another example of Muslims being bullied.”
“So if outsiders label Malaysia as a Christian nation, we should not be angered because we have been portrayed as such,” he said.
In another posting this evening, Aminuddin revealed that he has deleted his earlier remarks.
“Due to my posting on the stamp receiving widespread coverage and there are quarters who are not comfortable, I decided to delete the posting.
“Thank you for all the comments and views... To those who were offended, angered and saddened, I apologise,” he added.
The church pictured on the stamp is the St George's Church in Penang.
Malaysia is a multi-racial, multi-religious and multi-cultural society.

Every citizen since birth is fully aware of this existence.

To provoke a certain majority religious group that their religion has been bullied should never have arisen.

Every Malaysian citizen respects each others religious belief.

For ISMA President, Aminuddin Yahaya to provoke and instill fear on Muslims that their Islamic religion had been bullied on the basis of a 200th year old Church building commemorative stamp issue by Pos Malaysia is very unbecoming and cannot be excused.

By a mere apology and deleting his facebook post is insufficient since a crime has been committed by his unwarranted facebook post.

Aminuddin should immediately be reprimanded and appropriate action should be taken against him.

Religious intolerance should never be compromised at any cost by any religious group.

Malaysia is a peace-loving nation and anyone who disrupts this structure should be punished severely without fear or favour. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
