PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has taken a dig at the Pakatan Harapan government for dissolving PR1MA Malaysia and its projects.
“The government wants to dissolve PR1MA and their housing projects.
“This was announced by its new chairman, Tan Sri Eddy Chen, with the excuse that PR1MA initiatives are too hard to be implemented.
“Yes, it is indeed too difficult to (implement),” he wrote on his Facebook page on Thursday (May 2).
Najib said Chen was the managing director for Metro Kajang Bhd and the former Real Estate and Housing Developers Association (Rehda).
He said Chen was appointed by Pakatan last October to replace Tan Sri Alies Nor Abdul, who resigned on June 1.

“This is another initiative by the Barisan Nasional government for the people that will soon be dissolved,” he added.
Chen on Thursday said PR1MA might be dissolved, pending due diligence and a turnaround plan.
PR1MA was established under the PR1MA Act 2012 to plan, develop, construct and maintain high-quality housing with lifestyle concepts for middle-income households in key urban centres.
Its objective was that the housing units would be priced between RM100,000 and RM400,000.
The housing units were to be built in key strategic urban areas nationwide and opened to all Malaysians with a monthly household income between RM2,500 to RM15,000.- Star
