PN has the answers to rakyat's problems - Muhyiddin

Perikatan Nasional has solutions for the rakyat’s issues, including the rising costs of living and low income, declared its chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin.

While he did not explain in detail what they were, the Pagoh MP said PN is prepared to take over the country's administration through the 16th general election.

"Is PN and Bersatu ready to be the government... no need to say anything because we are always ready.

"We are ready to lead the country even when the rakyat is facing hardship, with their income stagnant... (while) costs of living are rising and left without subsidies, of course, it is very complicated.

"But if we are given the chance, we (will) make things right... We have the answers to all the issues," Muhyiddin said in a speech during a buka puasa event in Kuala Lumpur last night.

On March 9, Muhyiddin reportedly outlined three action plans to ensure PN continues to get more support to win the next general election.

Be confident opposition

He was optimistic that the coalition - consisting of Bersatu, PAS, Gerakan and SAPP - would be voters' first choice and urged all PN members to remain steadfast in their struggle.

The Bersatu president also advised PN members not to worry or be discouraged for being in the opposition.

Instead, he advised them to have confidence in the coalition's strength and commitment to play their role as the opposition.

"The rakyat places high hope on PN to be the check and balance in a democratic country. The people want us to be their voice, both inside and outside Parliament," he said.

Muhyiddin also criticised the government's handling of subsidies, which he said has incurred a heavier burden on the rakyat.

"If it's up to us, we would not do it the way the Pakatan Harapan-led (government) is doing, which has caused negative multiplier effects.

"The impacts have been proven, there have been many studies conducted by our think tanks," he added. - Mkini
