Badrul Hisham Shaharin says he will not respond to the notice, claiming it reflects a lack of freedom within the party.

Badrul told FMT he received the letter on March 10 and was given until yesterday to respond.
In a Sinar Harian report, Badrul said he did not respond to the letter as he felt the matters it raised were “illogical”.
“I did not want to lower my intellectual standards by answering those questions, and I am ready to accept whatever decision the party’s disciplinary board makes.”
He said the matters raised included a press conference on July 9 last year in which his comments allegedly tarnished the party’s image, as well as his comments on social media which were said to have painted the party in a negative light.
He also challenged Bersatu to sack him if speaking out against the party was deemed an offence.
Several Bersatu leaders have recently been sacked or suspended amid a leadership tussle between Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin and former deputy president Hamzah Zainudin, who was sacked from the party on Feb 13. - FMT
