The coalition’s newly appointed treasurer-general says he has begun auditing Perikatan Nasional's finances.

The PAS election director noted that at least RM1 million is needed to cover the operational and logistical costs of contesting a single parliamentary seat, but added that the party machinery’s reliance on volunteers allows it to operate even with limited funds.
Sanusi also urged supporters to continue donating to PN in preparation for the upcoming general election.
“We are still relying on donations. Just as PAS has survived, that is how PN will survive,” he said at an online press conference today.
The audit is among Sanusi’s first efforts as PN treasurer-general, a post that had been vacant since PN chairman Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar gave it up on Dec 11, 2024.
“The theft of government funds by parties for political purposes is destructive and harms the country. To revive healthy politics, political parties need to rely on donations from members,” he said. - FMT
