A total of 24 foreign men and a foreign woman were also arrested yesterday.

Bukit Aman’s internal security and public order department wildlife crime bureau commander Zaki Ashar said the operation was a joint investigation with Kuala Langat police and the Sepang environment department.
“A total of 24 foreign men and a foreign woman, aged between 19 and 50, were arrested to aid investigations,” Sinar Harian reported him as saying today.
Zaki said authorities seized 347 tonnes of e-waste, five compressors, a water recycling machine and two ovens.
He said the Kuala Langat Municipal Council issued RM1,000 in compound fines and business termination notices to the premises’ operators.
Zaki said since Jan 1 this year, police had carried out 158 raids nationwide for offences ranging from smuggling goods to the sale of imitation firearms, arresting 335 people. - FMT
