Johor education department says it is working with the welfare department to protect the victim and ensure her well-being.

In a statement, the Johor education department (JPN) said it was working with the welfare department to protect the victim and ensure her well-being.
It was previously alleged that the teacher had returned to teaching despite multiple reports lodged over the case, including with the police and the Public Complaints Bureau.
“We will not compromise when it comes to sexual misconduct. Action will be taken against wrongdoers,” JPN said.
It also urged members of the public involved in similar cases to lodge police reports to facilitate investigations.
It was reported in the New Straits Times yesterday that a 12-year-old pupil had admitted to school authorities that she was involved in a sexual relationship with a male teacher at the school.
The teacher was allegedly reassigned before later returning to active teaching duties. - FMT
