KUALA LUMPUR: A video capturing the moment a roadside food stall owner fell victim to a brazen theft in Perak has gone viral on social media.
The incident occurred at noon at Nasi Bajet Yanti, a roadside stall in Meru.
In footage posted online by Masjida Yanti Nasution, a woman at the stall was seen busy preparing packed food ordered by a man who was accompanied by another man waiting on a motorcycle.
The man initially stood waiting by the side of the stall. However, after a short while, he was seen tapping his accomplice, who was waiting nearby on a motorcycle, on the shoulder to signal him to be ready.
Immediately after, the suspect snatched the stall's money, jumped onto the pillion seat of the waiting motorcycle, and the duo sped away from the scene.
The seller quickly reacted and chased after the two men while screaming for help, but the duo managed to escape.
The clip has since been reposted by numerous accounts online, with many users condemning the act.
"It's okay, the face is famous now, he will be caught soon," Facebook user Ibnu Mohamad said. - NST
