Police said the child was with two siblings who were asleep while the father had stepped out briefly.

BALIK PULAU: A five-year-old boy died after falling from his family’s 24th-floor apartment in Teluk Kumbar here last night after he is believed to have climbed on a chair near the living room window.
Barat Daya police chief Anuwal Ab Wahab said initial investigations showed that the boy’s father had briefly stepped out for work matters, and his mother was out of the country for work.
The boy was at home with his two siblings who were asleep. “He is believed to have woken up before climbing on a chair near the living room window and subsequently fell,” Anuwal said here today.
He said a forensic examination at the scene found no evidence of foul play.
The child’s remains were taken to Petaling Jaya, Selangor, for burial arrangements after a post-mortem was completed. - FMT
