PAS insists that the party’s machinery will not be mobilised to help Bersatu campaign in the 16th Johor election.
Its president, Abdul Hadi Awang, said the two parties will use separate machinery and different campaign strategies, even though they will use the Perikatan Nasional logo for the election on July 11.
“No... the campaigns are different because they (Bersatu) are insisting on the logo, and also we are not breaking up (the PN alliance) again.
“As for the Bersatu party, we do not know their strategy. Maybe they have their own strategy that they want to adopt.
“But the PAS machinery will still work for us in the 11 state seats,” he said when met after the Duha Lecture at the Rusila Mosque today.

At the same time, Hadi also reiterated his party’s decision to cancel its collaboration with Bersatu.
‘Check and balance agent’
He said PAS has set a target to become the opposition bloc that acts as a check and balance agent for the state government.
“We are contesting 11 seats (in the Johor election). We choose seats that we are confident of winning.
“The important thing is that we want Johor to be ruled by Malay-Muslims,” Hadi stated.
Tomorrow is nomination day for the Johor election, while July 7 is for early voting and July 11 is polling day.
