The 36-year-old suspect, who was naked, had sneaked into a car occupied by a 10-year-old boy in one of the incidents.

Melaka Tengah police chief Halim Abas said the 36-year-old suspect, who was remanded for a week from today, tested positive for marijuana.
He also had a criminal record for the sexual assault of a child.
Halim said that in the first incident at 8pm, the suspect, who was naked, sneaked into the complainant’s vehicle, parked outside a house at Taman Ayer Molek.
The complainant, who saw the man, immediately shouted to his 10-year-old son, who was in the car, to get out.
“The complainant then dragged the suspect out of the car, but the man acted aggressively and refused to leave. The complainant then called the police,” Berita Harian quoted him as saying, but the man managed to escape.
In the second incident, a married couple and their two-year-old daughter encountered the suspect in an area next to Taman Ayer Molek.
“The suspect attempted to snatch a phone from the complainant’s wife, and grabbed their daughter.
“The complainant struggled with the suspect. Members of the public, who noticed the commotion, came to his aid and held the suspect down until police arrived at about 8.20pm,” he said.
Halim said checks found that the suspect had previously assaulted a silat teacher with a bottle at Kampung Ayer Molek, injuring the teacher on the face and head. - FMT
