The suspect, who tested positive for methamphetamine, has previous records for criminal and drug-related offences, say police.

Seri Alam police chief Sohaimi Ishak said the incident occurred at about 7.20am after police received a report that a lorry was suspected to have been stolen in the Plentong area.
He said members of the public later contacted police after spotting the lorry in the Tanjung Langsat Industrial Area in Pasir Gudang.
“Acting on the information, police located the lorry, but the suspect refused to stop.
“He drove dangerously and rammed a police patrol car before he was arrested in the Pasir Gudang area at 10.20am,” he said in a statement today.
Sohaimi said police found a transparent packet containing a substance believed to be drugs when they inspected the lorry.
Further checks showed that the suspect had previous records for criminal and drug-related offences. He also tested positive for methamphetamine.
The case is being investigated under the Penal Code, Road Transport Act 1987, and Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Sohaimi said police would apply for a remand order against the suspect tomorrow.
Earlier, a video showing several police vehicles pursuing the green lorry in the Pasir Gudang area went viral on social media. - FMT
