My comments : There is a major announcement due on a Palestinian peace plan. The question is how do you force the Palestinians to move to the Sinai, adjacent to Gaza?
One way will be an infusion of money. There will be financial incentives.
Gaza is already overcrowded. The new land will increase the size of Gaza by up to three times.
The area will or should be placed under some type of Egyptian control. The Egyptians will not want to grant Hamas a free hand over matters, right next door to them.
Saudi Arabia is a key player in this plan. Why is Saudi Arabia at last negotiating with the Israelis, after so many decades?
The answer lies in the price of oil and the oil card. Both are not effective anymore.
If the US can invade Iraq to secure their oil, why not invade Saudi Arabia as well? Its a no brainer.
There is no need. The Saudis are partners. They will do anything the US tells them to do.
All the major anti Israel Arab states have been subdued.
Libya, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and Iraq.
There is really no more role for Saudi Arabia to lead the Arab States in the Palestinian struggle.
Saudi Arabia will be alone if they continue for Pole Position in the Palestinian struggle.
It used to help the Sauds with their serious lack of legitimacy to rule over Arabia. They needed to be champion of something. That something is now getting less.
They are in imminent danger if they do not dance to the US.
Donald Trump has understood this fact very well.
Without the US, the Sauds cannot exist.
