KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Sanusi Junid was laid to rest at the Bukit Kiara Muslim cemetery here right after Friday prayers.
The former Agriculture Minister and Kedah Mentri Besar passed away on Friday morning at his house in Pantai Dalam.

His daughter, Amanda Ruhul Hamidah, 40, stated that her father's health was in excellent condition despite having a history of heart disease.
"His passing was unexpected to us all as he had just performed a medical check-up on Thursday.
"The results showed that there was nothing wrong with his health," she told reporters at Masjid Umar al-Khattab, Bukit Damansara.
Among those present at the funeral to pay their last respects were Deputy Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Johari Baharom, Agriculture and Agro-Based Industries Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, socio-economic advisor to the Malaysian government Tan Sri Dr Rais Yatim as well as former prime ministers Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
Sanusi leaves behind his wife Puan Sri Nila Inangda Manyam Keumala and seven children.
