Barisan loses ground in Melaka

MELAKA: The situation in Melaka remains fluid after unofficial results indicate Barisan Nasional has lost four parliamentary and 17 state seats.

 

There are six parliamentary and 28 state seats in Melaka. If the results are accurate, this means that Barisan has lost control of the state government.

 

However, at 10pm, no officials results have been announced at the centralised counting centres here.

 

Barisan has also lost three of its prized parliamentary constituencies, namely Alor Gajah, Jasin and Tangga Batu.

 

From initial reports, Barisan has lost 17 state constituencies while PAS has been totally wiped out for GE14.- Star
