Najib: What happened to Dr M, Rafidah's allegations against me?

Former premier Najib Abdul Razak has revisited two allegations against him made prior to the 14th general election.
In a Facebook posting this afternoon, he said the allegations were made by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and former Wanita Umno chief Rafidah Aziz.
He claimed that the latter had even invoked Allah's name in making the allegation.
“Pakatan Harapan has been in power for five months, it can refer and carry out an investigation to seek for evidence (on the two allegations). But until now, there have been no announcements or statements on these two serious allegations.
“What has happened to the two allegations?” he asked.
Najib recalled how Mahathir had claimed that RM160 billion went missing from Bank Negara's reserves during the former premier's administration.
“It was equated to the RM31.5 billion – equivalent to RM100 billion today – which vanished due to the forex (activities) when he (Mahathir) led the government in the 90s and was confirmed by the RCI (royal commission of inquiry).
“The RM160 billion Bank Negara reserve did not disappear nor was it stolen but converted from foreign currency to ringgit in the efforts to protect the value of the ringgit at the time. It is not the same as losing (money) through forex gambling in the 1990s,” he added.
As for Rafidah, he noted how she had commenced her allegation with the words “With Allah as my witness” and ended it with the words “Wallahi, Wabillahi, Watallahi”.
He said the accusation was that 40,000 hectares of land were privatised to a company owned by three individuals and the latter owned “every inch of land” belonging to the Defence Ministry or Armed Forces.
“This is a serious false allegation used to stoke the anger of the military before GE14,” he added. - Mkini
