WHO THE HELL IS ANWAR? UMNO DIDN’T DIE EVEN AFTER MAHATHIR LEFT – WHY SHOULD IT NEED ANWAR NOW, ASKS ANNUAR MUSA

PKR president Anwar Ibrahim is not needed in Umno for it to continue to represent the Malays, party secretary-general Annuar Musa said last night.
“Recently, Anwar stated that he would like to work with Umno… Umno has never needed Anwar Ibrahim.
“Umno did not die even after Dr Mahathir Mohamad left the party, and it did not die 20 years after Anwar left the party. As long there are young Malays (in the party), we will stand firm.
“As Allah is our witness, Umno will not only not die today, but will emerge stronger,” he said to thousands who attended the Himpunan Melayu Bangkit (Malays Arise Rally) in Pasir Salak last night.
Anwar had reportedly said at the Future of Bumiputeras and the Nation Congress (KBN 2018) yesterday that he would even “stand together” with the opposition – including Umno – should he find evidence of leakages and graft in the current Pakatan Harapan administration.
Even so, he stated in June that he would not work with Umno and PAS to form an Islamic government once he replaces Mahathir as prime minister.
According to Annuar, however, it is instead Anwar and Mahathir who will need Umno for the sake of their political survival in the future.
This, he said, is because the political careers of both started with Umno.
“He (Mahathir) cannot be proud of Bersatu that is not even two years old. (Anwar) can’t be proud of PKR, for they were both created from the strength of Umno,” he stated.
‘No Reformasi with divided Malays’
At the rally, Annuar also said Harapan’s push for reforms would not succeed as long as Malays are divided.
“Anwar promised Reformasi when they took over the government, (PKR vice-president) Rafizi Ramli promised to make it great.
“Well, just give them our well-wishes, because there cannot be Reformasi as long as there is no unity among the Malays.
“So Mahathir, Anwar or anyone else may come, but we will not have any (changes) as long as we are divided. This (divide) stems from Malay leaders themselves, who are chasing power,” he said.
The Himpunan Melayu Bangkit was also attended by Umno Youth chief Dr Asyraf Wajid Dusuki, supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam and Puteri chief Zahida Zarik Khan.

  1. Anwar is your former boss. My question is who the hell is Annuar Musang when Anwar Ibrahim was a deputy PM then. Oh it was the guy that TDM left in Kelantan incharged of umno and repeatedly said he will restled Pas to take back the state but lost untill today. A low standard umno member during TDM and DSAI era. Now became an opposition in TDM and DSAI new era. Well he can stand a slightest chance against his both former boss.
