Don't worry about ex-Umno members joining Bersatu - Mas Ermieyati
by M Fakhrull Halim & Lu Wei Hoong
In actual fact, UMNO should have been deregistered by now by the Registrar of Societies. The reason for this delay is still puzzling many Malaysians who are hoping justice will prevail in this "New Malaysia" as they claim.
The fact that UMNO elected representatives are "jumping ship" are seeking refugee with the ruling parties namely Bersatu to avoid any court charges and to obtain allocation for their constituency and to show the public that they still possess political power.
The public need to be aware that these same leaders were the ones who were fully supporting former PM Najib Razak, who has made our country to face the current economic woes by "theft" and "rampant corruption". There should be no forgiveness for these leaders for their action.
These UMNO elected leaders can join the ruling parties but should never be given any party post for the next 5 years and should be barred from re-contesting in the next general elections.
If anyone of these leaders have committed a crime, legal action should be taken even if they join the ruling parties. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
