PETALING JAYA: The landmark Employee Provident Fund (EPF) office in Jalan Gasing has been permanently closed, with service counters to resume operations at a new location by the end of the year.
In a notice today, the EPF said members and employees who wish to perform transactions should contact its offices in Shah Alam, Kuala Lumpur, Puchong, Sri Petaling or Jalan Raja Chulan.
“Additional information on the opening of the new EPF Petaling Jaya office will be updated on www.kwsp.gov.my and EPF’s social media channels,” it added.
The 59-year-old building overlooking the Federal Highway had been a landmark for many years.
It caught fire in February last year, resulting in an estimated RM1.85 million in losses.
The blaze was attributed to a single-burner gas flame gun being used by workers undertaking maintenance on the building. - Mkini
