What About DAP’s Boycott Of The Raja-Raja Melayu?

It is the party policy of DAP to boycott awards and titles given out by the Raja-Raja Melayu. If they accept any awards and titles from the Raja-Raja Melayu that means they subject themselves to the Raja-Raja Melayu (which is why we call them “subjects of the King”). As republicans and secularists, they would be seen as hypocrites if they bow to the Raja-Raja Melayu and become subjects of Their Highnesses or His Majesty.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Attorney-General Tommy Thomas and Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador are now known as Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador and Tan Sri Tommy Thomas (although that is not Tommy’s real name).
We are not sure why MACC Chief Commissioner Latheefa Beebi Koya is not Tan Sri Latheefa Beebi Koya and whether it is because her family are republicans and anti-Royalty, just like Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and most Pakatan Harapan people.
You may have noticed that while the juniors (even some children from PKR) receive titles and awards, and even Tan-Sri-ships, the seniors have been by-passed. And the prominent ones by-passed are those from DAP.

DAP kicked PAS out of Pakatan Rakyat because the party refused to defy HRH the Sultan of Selangor in the Menteri Besar issue back in 2013-2014

Actually, these DAP people have not been by-passed. Malaysia does not play the race card and promote based on race or discriminate non-Malays in the granting of awards and titles. On many occasions the DAP people had been included in the awards list but each time they had refused the awards and titles.
Of course, there has been a couple of times when some DAP people defied the boycott and received an award or title from one of the State Rulers. But these people have been severely reprimanded and if they commit this offence again they would be sacked from the party.

DAP leaders will now wear a songkok when they receive royal awards and titles but the older ones still degil to do both

It is not only a boycott of awards and titles. At one time DAP even boycotted the palace dress code. It is considered proper dress code for Malays to wear the Baju Melayu and non-Malays to wear a suit during an audience with the Raja-Raja Melayu. And, of course, the songkok is a must.
The DAP people refused to wear the songkok, which has nothing to do with Islam, and if they are forced to do so then they would boycott the palace event. But in 2008, the DAP people had no choice but to wear the songkok or else they could not go to the palace to get sworn in as the Penang, Kedah, Perak and Selangor State Governments.

If DAP boycotted the palace because of the songkok rule how are they going to get sworn in by the Ruler? So, they did a U-turn on the no-songkok policy just to become the government. Yes, even DAP will set aside their so-called principles for the sake of power. I suppose if they can set aside their principle and accept Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as their leader, wearing a songkok is small by comparison. Will we next see Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang emerge?
On the subject of Mahathir, today, he said the government is committed to rehabilitating the country and liberating it from corruption and abuse of power.

Malaysians in their 60s and older would remember Rose Chan and Kickapoo Joy Juice

His Majesty the Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah, must have almost burst his royal guts trying to hold back his laughter. I mean, can you imagine Rose Chan preaching about chastity, morality, and no sex before marriage? We are talking about THE Rose Chan who taught us there is more than one way to smoke a cigarette plus helped boost the sales of Kickapoo Joy Juice.
Mahathir said this was being done by strengthening the country’s administration based on the Rule of Law principle and separation of powers as enshrined in the Federal Constitution. “I hope the country will be fully liberated from all forms of corruption so that a New Malaysia can be further developed, more than ever before.”
Come on, let’s be serious. There is so much corruption and abuse of power in Penang, Selangor, Johor and Perak. Who is Mahathir trying to kid? Kalau nak cakap pun biarlah munasabah sikit. I mean a three-year-old might believe in Santa and the Tooth Fairy. But you do not try to con a 30-year-old with this story.

Mahathir’s speech must have almost made the Agong roll on the floor with laughter

Stop any stranger on the street and ask that person whether he/she believes that Pakatan Harapan is a clean government and that person will spit on the ground…ptui. The only reason most Chinese will still support and vote for Pakatan Harapan is because they hate Umno and the Malays-Islam. If not Pakatan Harapan would be doomed.
It was like in Iraq when America invaded that country. The Iraqis did not like the Americans. They hated the Americans. But they supported the US because they hated Saddam Hussein even more. Hence they supported the US just to topple Saddam, not because they are pro-America.
And if Mahathir thinks the Malaysian Chinese believe in his “the government is committed to rehabilitating the country and liberating it from corruption and abuse of power” speech today, then Mahathir is insulting the Chinese by assuming that they are idiots of the first degree.
In fact, most Chinese want Mahathir ousted and for Anwar Ibrahim to take over — not because Anwar is another Mandela or Gandhi but because DAP can use Anwar and make him their running dog and compel him to do what they want him to do (and most Malays know this).
