OFTENTIMES we see videos of quality dog breeds being exceedingly pampered or loved by their owners and wish we could take their place. Imagine a lifestyle free of responsibilities, where food is served on time, attention is plentiful and there is a roof above one’s head.
But be warned. Not all pets experience such joy in their life. A visit to the nearest animal shelter will quickly dispel this fantastic fantasy where so many pets, regardless of their breed, languish in an overcrowded, smelly prison-like environment.
Either that or readers can check out a heartbreaking video post on X by netizen @Puppieslover which has since drawn over 871 comments and 1,300 reposts. In the video, a dog of an unidentified breed could be seen chasing after a car.

The netizen who posted the video added that the poor animal had just been recently abandoned and was chasing after the owner who was driving the vehicle. Unsurprisingly, a good number of netizens condemned the act, and rightfully too.

“I can’t understand how they do that. I can’t,” said @TrumpParody47 while @Kheniwyze wondered if it was so tough for it to get adopted. Towards the latter’s comment, @AndrewGrevas said shelters are usually overpopulated with animals.

“Disgraceful. And if that’s a Cairn Terrier, it won’t stop until it catches them!” added @WTFWilliam1 who appears to be quite knowledgeable in dog breeds.
“I hope they get in a car crash and you’re garbage if you just filmed and didn’t pick him up,” pointed out a rather vindictive @LumiereGrimson.
Away from the comments, we can only pray with all our hearts that the poor dog finds a forever home somewhere among the many animal lovers out there. — Focus Malaysia
