THERE IS a saying that to buy a home is to buy into the very environment in which the home presides in. Oftentimes real estate agents will go over the lengthy detail explaining the conveniences in the vicinity.
But will any of them inform you that the home you are buying is just next door to a neighbour who behaves like the devil? Likely not and the result could be a roof full of pigeon poop and a lingering odour that makes living a constant struggle.
Take it from this gut clenching video where a person could be seen feeding a flock of pigeons on another resident’s roof.
Anyone with a shred of compassion could tell that the neighbour one floor down will not find it amusing, with all that racket, feathers and poop about.
Netizen @ridzuan_bonzer commented that the resident could make a report to the Ministry of Health since pigeon poop is hazardous to one’s health.
“I have faced such things for years,” shared @AHazeman, adding that the smell of poop and the dust of the dried poop is bad for health.

Also, @AbangAirul said such individuals are not qualified to be neighbours to any race, and that they should live in a cave.

“This is the real B40,” pointed out @aqilqym while @Ronnie50604835 said that pigeons are called the rats of the sky. Looking at the video, we think the moniker is an apt one too.
Then there was netizen @HilmiAdi who shared an article from the New Straits Times, about people being fined for feeding pigeons.
The article, dating back to Oct 2025 stated that nine people were fined RM250 under Section 47(1) of the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974 by the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) for deliberately feeding pigeons in public, despite repeated warnings and awareness campaigns.
The enforcement action was carried out along Jalan Perak, where all nine offenders were caught discarding food waste to feed pigeons. We hope the pigeon-feeding lady in the video could curb her unhygienic practices before the inefficient arms of the law come knocking, if ever. — Focus Malaysia
