IN the eyes of their rightist brethren, Malay DAP members are traitors to their race for their role in bootlicking the oft-perceived Chinese chauvinistic party to curtail political might of the Malays.
Therefore, in berating the DAP Wanga Permai Kepong branch for priding itself as “the DAP branch with largest Malay membership”, one detractor has likened such glory to a quote by controversial former DAP activist Hew Kuan Yew a.k.a. Superman Hew – a case of “using Malays to screw fellow Malays”.
This follows a Facebook post by MalaysiaStory entitled “DAP Branch with Most Malay Members is Prepared to Face UMNO” in which branch head Muhammad Najmi Samsudin stated that its members “are ready to face anyone, including UMNO, in the upcoming 16th General Election (GE16)”.

There are no stopping brickbats from being hurled at Najmi and ‘his troops’ although the former Selayang Municipal Council member did substantiate that they do not wish to be on “war path” with UMNO but merely want to explain to the people – especially young voters – that DAP is not UMNO’s enemy.
“The faces of traitors …” fumed one commenter in the post that has fetched 5.5K likes, 4.3K comments and 356 shares at the time of writing.
“It’s because there’re people like this that we’ll be colonised again; only care about their own stomachs, very obvious from the action of those stooges in Kepong,” lambasted another.
“These are the people who want to destroy the Malay race,” one detractor lashed out at his ungrateful brethren while another cursed the Malay DAP members for “supporting the Democratic Alkohol Party”.

It wasn’t long before words which borders indecency are levelled at the perceived “traitors of the Malay race” even though branch leader Najmi did recount that “DAP had once sacrificed by giving the Dusun Tua state seat to UMNO in the spirit of cooperation”.
“Pigs reared by DAP,” blasted one commenter, probably in connection to the mega pig farming controversy in Selangor which has evoked the anger of state ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
“Bar*a (slang for “pimp”) … there is no true Malay jati diri (self-identity) at all … They just want to use you guys; once they’re successful in so doing, you’ll be discarded like garbage,” warned another.

One commenter chastised the Malay DAP members over the irony “of joining forces with the Chinese when the Malays are at odds trying to unite” while another wondered how could they have the heart “to conspire with DAP whose main aim is to destroy the Malays”.

The bottom-line as one commenter put it, it would be better off for the Malay DAP members “to fight the proliferation of illegal temples instead of preoccupying themselves with fighting UMNO”.
“Imagine they (the temples) even squat on Muslim cemetery and mosque land … What a bas*ard.”
