The Defence Ministry has ordered the armed forces to investigate alleged immoral activities inside its camps in the country.
This followed viral messages and videos circulating on social media, where military officers allegedly engaged sex workers and brought the unauthorised individuals into officers’ mess halls for partying.
“The ministry views seriously the allegation of unrelated individuals being allowed into military camps and alleged immoral activities, as being circulated on social media.
“Thus, the armed forces have been instructed to carry out a thorough internal investigation immediately to determine the veracity of this allegation.
“The ministry stresses that the alleged activities do not portray the true culture, values, and practices of the armed forces, which are based on the core of discipline, professionalism, and adherence to strict security procedures.
“Should the allegation be found to be true, strict action will be taken against those involved according to the existing rules and laws,” it said in a statement.

The Defence Ministry also advised the public not to speculate or jump to conclusions that can create confusion and tarnish the image of the ministry and the Malaysian Armed Forces.
For the past few days, social media has been abuzz with allegations that military officers had been engaging in immoral activities at their mess halls.
The video clips being shared on Threads and TikTok showed wild parties that were allegedly held inside military facilities.
Also being circulated were screenshots of messages claiming that junior military officers are being made to provide women for their superiors. - Mkini
