​KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 — Residents of a house were instructed to evacuate their home after a landslide hit Kampung Bukit Sungai Putih, Hulu Langat near here yesterday afternoon.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they received a call at 2.17 pm and dispatched a six-man team from the Ampang Fire and Rescue Station with one engine to the location of the landslide, which arrived five minutes later.

“A landslide about 1.2 metres was found and the residents of a house were instructed to vacate their home as a precautionary measure,” he said in a statement last night.

Firefighters were monitoring the area at the moment and the local authorities have been informed for further action, he added. — Bernama
