The school is believed to have been operating at Kampung Ladang Titian since February, says the mayor.

Kuala Terengganu mayor Lizan Che Mat said preliminary checks found that the classroom was housed in premises originally set up for a sundry shop.
“We will determine whether the additional structure used as a classroom was approved by the council’s building control department. So far, we have only been informed of its existence via the media. We have sent enforcement officers to confirm the school’s existence,” Berita Harian reported him as saying today.
Lizan said action would be taken under the building by-laws if the additional structure was built without approval. “The building’s owner would face penalties of a fine of up to RM100,000, or jail. We can also issue a demolition notice, and the council will have to tear it down, with the cost to be borne by the building owner,” he said. - FMT
