According to a notice issued by secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, the meeting will be followed by a 10pm press conference, sparking speculation that key decisions may be announced.
It is understood that among the issues expected to dominate discussions is speculation that Bersatu is considering contesting the Negri Sembilan state election under its own logo instead of the Perikatan Nasional symbol, departing from its previous practice.
The meeting is also expected to address allegations of sabotage among PN component parties during the recent Johor state election campaign, which saw the coalition fail to win any of the 33 seats it contested.
The Bersatu meeting may also touch on allegations of behind-the-scenes discussions and meetings involving Pas representatives and the Barisan Nasional leadership over potential cooperation in the Negri Sembilan state election, allegedly without PN's knowledge.
Meanwhile, Parti Wawasan Negara and Pas are also scheduled to hold a dinner meeting at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur tonight.
It is understood that the meeting will focus on seat allocations and the use of the PN logo in preparation for the state election. - NST
