MPs STILL BET SCANDAL-BOGGED NAJIB WILL DISSOLVE PARLIAMENT IN THE NEXT 2 OR 3 WEEKS: BUT CHANCES ARE NOW MUCH HIGHER FOR DELAY TILL AFTER HARI RAYA

KUALA LUMPUR – As talks of the 14th General Election hots up, several parliamentarians are predicting that Parliament may be dissolved as early as the middle of this month.
Members of Parliament, both from Barisan Nasional and the opposition, are predicting that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak would dissolve Parliament as soon as the Dewan Rakyat session ends on April 5, or even before the session is completed.
Baling MP, Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim, said there is a possibility that Parliament could be dissolved in two weeks from now.
“The possibility is there as we already have a time frame. It’s just a matter of time.
“However, we have to wait for the redelineation of electoral borders to be finalised,” he said when met at the Parliament lobby.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, appeared to be a firm believer of the adage ‘silence is golden.’
Asked on when the date is, he merely replied: “It’s a secret.”
Deputy MCA president, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, however, believed that Parliament would be dissolved in the next two to three weeks.

Pas vice-president, Idris Ahmad, said the party leadership is also predicting that Parliament would be be dissolved halfway in the midst of the Dewan Rakyat session.
“It (Parliament dissolved before its session ended) has happened before. So the possibility is there.
“We (Pas) predict that it will happen as soon as the session ends, or two weeks from now. Also, Ramadan will take place in May, so that’s why we think the announcement on its dissolution will be made halfway throughout this session,” he said.
Parliament will automatically dissolve on June 24, and the election must be held within 60 days of its dissolution.
Based on speculation, GE14 will be held either in mid-April or early May. The 13th General Election was held on Sunday, May 5, 2013.
The prime minister had previously hinted that GE14 would be held before July 14.
