Azmin to 'Grab' a ride home, after excos return official cars

The incumbent Selangor state executive councillors today returned their official cars as part of the ceremony to dissolve the state assembly.
According to Channel News Asia, Menteri Besar Azmin Ali joked he would be going home using the Grab service after the ceremony.
“After officially returning the car keys to the state (secretary), MB Azmin said he will 'Grab' home today,” CNA reported in a tweet, which the Bukit Antarabangsa assemblyperson promptly retweeted.
The move to return the keys is in line with the recognition that the PKR-led Pakatan Harapan administration is now a caretaker government.
“Until the new government is formed, the state government will now function as a caretaker government, such as is stated in the state secretary's circular, which outlines the situation, functions and limitations of a caretaker government.
“This is part of the principle of good governance to ensure that powers are not abused,” Azmin said in a statement.
Presiding over the ceremony today was Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, who signed the dissolution order at Istana Shah Alam at 10.30am, after meeting with the menteri besar.
Azmin thanked Sultan Sharafuddin for providing guidance to his administration throughout their term.
He also thanked the people of Selangor for giving his administration the mandate to rule.
“We now hand the power of the mandate back to the people.
“I am confident and believe in the maturity of the people of Selangor, who want a government that is stable, strong, visionary, principled and caring,” Azmin said. - Mkini
