Hisham accuses her of hidden agenda, Rafidah calls it 'agenda rakyat'

Hishammuddin Hussein has opened fire on his former cabinet colleague Rafidah Aziz, accusing her of having a vile agenda and ulterior motive to tarnish caretaker prime minister Najib Abdul Razak's credibility.
The caretaker defence minister questioned the former minister's timing in raising the allegation that 40,000 hectares of prime military land had been privatised to a three-person firm.
He claimed that the allegation had no basis and clearly showed it was a personal attack in view of the coming general election.
“Their stand keeps changing. Even if you answer, it will not satisfy them. I know they want this issue to prolong until polling day.
“I repeat that the allegation is baseless and outright slander.
“Hopefully, other interested parties will answer with facts. The chief secretary of the ministry and the Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) can answer.
“She (Rafidah) wants to target Najib and me,” he was quoted as saying by Berita Harian.
Hishamuddin also said LTAT would explain the issue raised by Rafidah tomorrow, but described the allegation as a planned political strategy.
“I want to advise all interested parties not to answer an issue which has been answered several times. Have to be careful because whatever answer we give will not satisfy them,” he added.
Rafidah: My agenda is agenda rakyat
In an immediate response, Rafidah said there is no need for Hishammuddin to analyse the issue.
“My agenda is 'agenda rakyat'. To explain the truth to the rakyat. Unlike some of them, everything must have a personal agenda. I am not contesting in the general election. Don't make baseless allegations,” she told Malaysiakini.
“Who can hide from Allah SWT, the all knowing and all seeing? Can BN and those whom they call leaders hide (from Allah)?” she asked.
Previously, she had penned an open letter to Najib claiming that when the latter was defence minister in 2007, he had presented a cabinet paper seeking approval for the privatisation of the land to the three person-owned firm.
Following Hishammuddin's earlier accusation that Rafidah had told three big lies, the former minister challenged that the cabinet paper on the matter be released. - Mkini
