Ku Nan: Rizalman sabotaged, others may be targeted too

Umno secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor believes that the drug abuse allegation against Bandar Tun Razak chief Rizalman Mokhtar is an act of sabotage.
"We know there are elements of sabotage. A few weeks ago it was Johari Abdul Ghani (who was sabotaged) [...] then a few days ago it was Rizalman.
"In the next few days who knows who might be (sabotaged) [...] these are the silly times in politics," Tengku Adnan told reporters when met in Putrajaya today.
Rizalman yesterday said his arrest and subsequent urine test which showed positive for drug use, was a set-up.
Asked whether the sabotage could have been from within BN, Tengku Adnan replied: "We have internal and external problems."
He focused his criticism on the opposition whom he claimed was threatened by BN and "would find ways" to deal with the ruling coalition.
Rizalman (above) yesterday refused to speculate on who could have possibly set him up.
He, however, declined to rule out the possibility of being sabotaged by MCA.
MCA had contested the Bandar Tun Razak parliamentary seat over five general elections and Rizalman had last year demanded the seat to be given to Umno.
After Rizalman's arrest, an MCA source was quoted by China Press as saying the party was now confident it could keep Bandar Tun Razak.
Tengku Adnan, who is also Federal Territories Umno chief, said the party would wait for the outcome of police investigations before deciding on action against its Bandar Tun Razak chief.
He also urged the Bandar Tun Razak division to remain calm. -Mkini
