PKR: Umno split in Lembah Pantai over China-printed banners?

PKR communications director says BN banners have been trimmed off at the bottom, where the name of the printer in China previously appeared.
PETALING JAYA: PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil said the Pantai Umno division decided to trim off the bottom part of BN banners in the Lembah Pantai constituency because they showed the banners were printed by a company in China.
Questioning Pantai Umno division chief Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin on this, Fahmi further speculated there was a split in Umno’s ranks in the Lembah Pantai constituency on the issue.
“Does this mean some of the Umno members in Lembah Pantai are not happy that the job for printing these banners was given to a foreign-registered company and not locals?” he asked, adding that Raja Nong Chik should clarify the issue.
According to Fahmi, there are about 20 to 30 BN banners in Kampung Abdullah Hukum, behind the Mid Valley Megamall, that have been cut off at the bottom.
Fahmi is speculated to contest in Lembah Pantai, where he may face BN’s Raja Nong Chik, who lost in the 2013 general election to the then incumbent, PKR’s Nurul Izzah Anwar.
However, PAS is also expected to enter the contest in the 14th general election to make it a three-way fight for the seat.
FMT has contacted Raja Nong Chik for a response. - FMT
