See-To: Rafidah's claims shared anonymously on WhatsApp earlier

BN strategic communications department deputy director Eric See-To claimed that he received a WhatsApp message a month earlier on the allegations concerning land belonging to the Ministry of Defence.
He said the allegations were similar to those raised by former minister Rafidah Aziz.
“When Rafidah posted the allegations about Mindef using her own name, it looked really familiar as I had read it before.
“Looking back, I discovered that the allegations had been shared on WhatsApp anonymously more than a month before.
“The allegations were so ridiculous and far-fetched that I dismissed it outright,” he said in a media statement this evening.
See-To also pointed out that both Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin and Parti Warisan Sabah president Mohd Shafie Apdal were also in the cabinet in 2007 and up to 2015.
“So they would have been the first to share it (Najib Abdul Razak purportedly presenting a cabinet paper to privatise 40,000ha of Mindef land to a three person-owned firm) with (Pakatan Harapan chairperson) Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
“It would have been a big issue three years before Rafidah (photo) 'exposed' it. And plus, specifics such as what is the company name or who are the three persons Mindef transferred the land to were missing.
“And plus, if these were real, then various Mindef employees would have long exposed this,” he added.
Like a 'cybertrooper'
See-To said he received the exact same allegation on March 10 via WhatsApp, a month before Rafidah made the allegation in an open letter to Najib.
“I received the same message during that time from at least three different persons.
“If she wants me to show her proof, I can go see her and show her my phone,” he added, furnishing a screen capture of the WhatsApp message he received.
Therefore, See-To asked if Rafidah had acted like a “cybertrooper” in the past to create the anonymous WhatsApp message and was now putting her name to lend legitimacy to the allegations.
“Is this because elections are now near that you want to make such allegations since there is less time for the government to respond?
“In any case, Mindef has denied these ridiculous allegations and said it is all rubbish.
“Perhaps Rafidah should give us more proof of her allegations instead of just a bare accusation?” he added.
Previously, Hishammuddin and Mindef  have both denied the allegations, prompting Rafidah to issue a challenge that the cabinet paper be released.
Muhyiddin and Shafie, on the other hand, have remained silent on this matter. - Mkini
