PKR president Anwar Ibrahim has asked his political aide Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak to meet the police over the allegation that the latter had assaulted an individual.
"Yes, he should (meet the police) notwithstanding the withdrawal of the police report," he told reporters in Petaling Jaya when quizzed on the matter.
"He must meet the police and he had been advised to (do so)," he added.
Police named Farhash as the main suspect in a rioting incident outside a sports arena in Ampang on the night of Aug 31.
During the incident, a man had been injured when a group armed with helmets, knives and chairs attacked him.
Yesterday, police said Farhash was untraceable and urged him to come forward to facilitate investigations.
