KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Johan Setia in Klang, Selangor is still recording an "unhealthy" Air Pollutant Index levels of 140 as of 7pm on Wednesday (May 25) night.
However, based on the latest API on the Malaysia Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS), 65 areas recorded moderate air quality while Keningau in Sabah recorded good air quality.
The positive development in air quality since this morning has enabled the people to start enjoying outdoor activities again.
Meanwhile, the 78 Malaysian students who were evacuated from Riau and Jambi in Indonesia arrived home this evening after the Indonesian government declared a haze emergency in the two areas.
According to Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik, all students would be allowed to return when the situation has improved.
An API reading of between 0 and 50 is categorised as good, 51 to 100 (moderate), 101 to 200 (unhealthy), 201 to 300 (very unhealthy) while a reading of 300 and above is deemed to be hazardous. - Bernama
