The Malaysians lose to South Korea’s reigning world champions Kim Won Ho-Seo Seung Jae in three games.

The world No 2 pair lost 15-21, 21-12, 18-21 in a close match that lasted 63 minutes at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, here.
Aaron-Wooi Yik took home US$50,750 (RM206,650) as runners-up in the World Tour Super 1000 season opener while the Koreans pocketed US$107,000 (RM435,690).
The world champions have now beaten Aaron-Wooi Yik twice in their three encounters so far.
With this, the men’s doubles title drought in the Malaysia Open continues with Malaysia’s last victory coming in 2014 through Goh V Shem-Lim Khim Wah.
Today’s final was Aaron-Wooi Yik’s seventh in a Super 1000 tournament in their career. They finished runners-up on all seven occasions. - FMT
