Hilir Perak district police chief Bakri Zainal Abidin said the 18-year-old male victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while another victim aged 17, who was the victim’s college mate, sustained injuries to his hand and is receiving further treatment.
“Preliminary investigations found that the incident is believed to have occurred when a long-handled sickle carried by a man riding a motorcycle struck the neck of the victim, who was also riding a motorcycle.
He said police detained two foreign men aged 39 and 52 to assist in the investigation, and seized a sickle and a motorcycle.
“The suspects will be brought to the Teluk Intan magistrates’ court for a remand application to assist further investigations,” he said. - FMT
