ISRAEL and its president Benjamin Netanyahu needs no introduction in Malaysia. The state, unrecognised by Malaysia, already drew countless condemnation from our fellow Malaysians for the brutality in Gaza.
And now with the preemptive strikes against Iran, that sentiment is only going to get worse. But apparently, there is a certain group of people who are rejoicing in all the blood letting.
According to netizen @mynewshub in a video post, two elderly men could be seen worshipping a portrait of Netanyahu.
They painted a red dot on his forehead, then began making chants, as though trying to bless the man despite all the suffering he had wrought upon the middle east.

Little context or detail is provided in the video, such as the location of the worship or whether the two men are local Malaysians. With videos from the internet, this information is crucial as it could have happened somewhere far away in India.
“Are these the devotees of the Sri Netanyahu Temple Association,” said netizen @anwarasyhraff while @PoyaSALAH said they hated Islam.

Another netizen said hopefully they were trying to cast some form of black magic on Netanyahu instead of worshiping him.

Then there was @Mahendradspeaks pointing out that such rituals were conducted to those who are already dead. “Hope you understand the context,” he added.

Now how true is that? On another note, Israel and India enjoy a warm relationship as seen in the latest visit by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Israel on February 25-26.
“The visit produced a total of 27 bilateral outcomes, including 16 formal agreements and 11 joint initiatives covering areas such as emerging technologies, labour mobility, agriculture, culture and education,” said news portal The Diplomat.
India and Israel also agreed to upgrade their existing “strategic partnership” to what they described as a “special strategic partnership,” signalling deeper cooperation between the two countries.
Both nations reiterated their commitment to strengthening defence ties. A memorandum of understanding signed in November 2025 outlines plans for the joint development and production of military equipment, with particular emphasis on the transfer of advanced technologies. — Focus Malaysia
