PKR vice-president Dr Zaliha Mustafa says those contesting under Bersama made their own choice to leave the party.

PKR vice-president Dr Zaliha Mustafa said support from party members and the public remained strong.
“It was their choice to leave PKR and contest under Bersama.
“But from what we have seen throughout today’s nomination process in almost all 20 constituencies, the support from our party members and the public has been very encouraging,” she told reporters at PKR’s operations room here.
Among Bersama’s candidates with previous links to PKR are former PKR candidate Dr Zamil Najwah (Permas), as well as Norsinah Abu (Larkin) and Stanley Tan (Stulang). Bersama’s Puteri Wangsa candidate, Nicholas Paul Vincent, has also been alleged to be a former PKR member.
Regarding voter turnout, Zaliha said PKR had begun campaigning to encourage Johoreans living outside the state to return home to vote.
“We are also reaching out to young people and parents in rural areas, urging them to call their children home to vote,” she said. - FMT
