Former Yayasan Peneraju CEO Ibrahim Sani - who quit last week - has joined Parti Bersama Malaysia, touting the party as a choice for progressives who are tired of the status quo.
Ibrahim - who is also a former journalist with experience in banking - said he decided to join the party the moment he heard about Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad taking over Bersama while he was driving on the road.
“It started in that moment in the car, because I was quite sick of what was being offered in Malaysia, and I was waiting for a vehicle that can drive us down a new path,” he said during a ceramah in Skudai last night.

Bersama leaders Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad and Rafizi Ramli (right) He touted the duo as rare politicians who were consistent in their positions, while claiming that Bersama candidates are the only ones who wholeheartedly want to just serve their constituents.
During the ceramah, he also revealed that he was hired as Yayasan Peneraju CEO in 2023, after Rafizi decided to do a rare open interview for the post overseeing the development of bumiputera professional skills and talents.
MCA Youth has joined the chorus pushing for the government to remove former MACC chief Azam Baki as a National Anti-Financial Crime Centre (NFCC) advisory board member.

In a statement yesterday, the wing’s secretary-general Saw Yee Fung also questioned why the government has refused to allow an independent probe against Azam, who is mired in controversies surrounding extraordinary shareholdings and claims relating to the "corporate mafia".
“The government’s continued refusal to establish such an inquiry raises fundamental questions.
“Why is it unwilling to allow an independent investigation? Why does it continue to defend Azam despite the persistent cloud over his tenure?” she said. - Mkini
